COME FACE TO FACE WITH A WOOLLY MAMMOTH!
(Okay, not a real one, but as good as)
Our gigantic mammoth is a life-sized model of those that would have roamed our planet thousands of years ago. It's been built in collaboration with the Natural History Museum and the author of HOMO BRITANNICUS, Chris Stringer, who works there researching human evolution. Chris and his colleague Andy Currant have closely followed the making of the mammoth from initial sketches to the finished model we have today, to make sure it looks just like the real thing! It's the only full-size mammoth replica in the whole of the country.
Our mammoth will be on display at festivals and other venues across the UK from the 6th October onwards, so check out where you can see it below. And keep logging on to this site as the mammoth tours round - it could be in a town near you soon… don't miss it!
